Hello from the Negev!

What another amazing day on TJJ!  We started off our day saying goodbye to Eilat  as we began our drive north. Our first stop of the day was at the Machtesh Ramon where we went rappeling! It was so much fun!! Everyone one was able to conquer their fears and rappel down the cliff.

We spent our afternoon visiting Sde Boker and learning all about David Ben Gorion, his life, and his legacy. We capped off the visit with a trip Ben Gurion’s grave. 

This evening we we arrived at the Bedouin tents  where we began our stay with an amazing camel ride! Afterwords we got to meet a real life Bedouin and hear about his experiences and lifestyle. Lastly, we had a great night activity of meditation as we took in the desert and the many stars in the sky.

The free weekend is coming up and there has been a small change in drop off times. For those teens getting off the bus in Jerusalem (Malone Ramat Rachel) pick up time on Thursday evening will be at 6:30 PM. For those teens getting off the bus in Tel Aviv (Alozorov train statiis) pick up time on Thursday evening will be at 8:00 PM. The times for drop off on Sunday morning remain 8:30 in Tel Aviv and 10:00 in Jerusalem. Please update all hosts and rides of this change in info!
