Dear NCSY TJJ Lion Pride,

On Wednesday our Lion Pride began the day enjoying a morning water hike in Nachal Hatsbani. Getting into the Hatsbani river was fun, but it was only a taste of what was to come Wednesday afternoon!

From Nachal Hatsbani we caught our breath at the kibbutz of Misgav Am where we learned about the security of the Lebanese border from a self proclaimed Zionist and “Jewish Redneck” Arieh Amit (originally from Cleveland, Ohio).

After grabbing lunch at the Teva Naot factory store (at least one mom out there should be expecting a present!), our day was capped off with an amazing raft journey down the Jordan river! We had a blast trying to get everyone wet (I got pulled into the river three times). Once we were through splashing and swimming in the Jordan we enjoyed the calm cool water as we drifted down stream on a hot day.

We are sad that it’s our last night in the Golan, but we are looking forward toward our upcoming stay in Ein Gedi starting tomorrow!!
