NCSY TJJ Bus 2 Heroes and Miracles

Dear NCSY TJJ Bus 2 Parents,

I hope you are keeping tabs on us through all of the social media posts but we have been having the most amazing and meaningful trip.

Yesterday was a day of heroes. We learned about the wars of ’48, ’67, and ’73 and the difficult times they were for Israel. Our focus however, was on the miracles and heroes that made history happen. History was not forged by a few individuals but rather all those who gave their lives for the the Jewish Nation and Israel.  While we went to the Jillabun waterfall, and the lookout at Mount Bental, I think the most powerful aspect of the day was when I spoke at a Syrian tank near the border in the Golan about a hero that is very close to our bus, Yossi our driver. Yossi,  who fought in the tank division in ’73 was an example to all the teens that every individual has the ability to be a true hero!

Today, we continued in the North to apprexiate the beautiful city of Safed. We learned about its history and the mysticism that emerged from there.

We had the opportunity to go into a cave and Yoni, our amazing tour guide, took out his flute to lead us in meaningful songs. It was very special.

The teens were given some free time to shop before returning to our hotel for dinner.

After an amazing “Minute to Win It” night activity last night, the amazing advisor led the kids in a lip syncing contest tonight.  Both events were fun and full of laughs.

All the best
