Dear Parents,
Greetings from the Poriah Guest house! Our accommodations are beautiful – we are staying in a complex high up on a mountain and overlooking the Kinneret. Today, we hiked the Jilaboun hike, which passes near some streams and has bamboo growing around the path. It was our first hike on TJJ, and everyone completed it! We then drive to the Bental lookout point, and learned about the Syrian border and the 6 day war from our tour guide, David. We visited a park near Katzrin for lunch – pastas, salad, and pizza. Next, we visited a local (small) supermarket to buy some treats for Shabbat. We are now back at Poriah, preparing for Shabbat and resting up.
