Dear Parents,
Shortly after we went to sleep, we got up for a crack of dawn hike up Mt. Tzfschot. At the summit, we had a breathtaking view of the Red Sea, and our tour guide showed us our bird’s eye view of Eilat, Jordan, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. At sunrise, we prayed together; it was a really special moment. We departed the Adi Hotel and caught up on our sleep during a 3 hour bus ride. We arrived at Shvil HaSalat, located on a moshav, and learned about Israeli drip water irrigation, ecology, and how to grow cherry tomatoes. Then, we got to walk amongst the vines and eat! Fresh cherry tomatoes, of so many varieties, were delicious! After eating our fill, we got to hold pigeons and release them into the wind! We then drove to our new hotel in Jerusalem, where we will remain until the end of the trip. In the evening, we had a relaxing time on Ben Yehuda street and enjoyed the street musicians and hustle and bustle of many groups enjoying the pedestrian mall.
