Well, we made it to Eilat! The weather is great here, even at night it is really warm!
Today, we stared off with a tour of David Ben Gurion’s grave, where we learned about actualizing our beliefs through actions. Then, we went an an exceptional desert hike, Ein Ovdat, which has sharp contrasts of white limestone to pools of water with crabs and waterfalls. The end of the hike sported a breathtaking view as we climbed up 6th century steps carved by monks and modern ladders installed by the Ministry of Tourism. On our way down to Eilat, we stopped off at the Ramon Crater. We watched F15 planes practice low level flying in the Crater – really cool! When we arrived at the Adi Hotel in Eilat, we got changed and headed out for dinner at the new Ice Mall. It’s a new mall which features a fully functional skating rink in the middle! Some of us had pizza, others sandwiches, and others chinese food – there was a lot of variety! And of course, shopping! Hard to believe we only have 1 week left to the trip!
