Hola! TJJ bus member Shai Wallach reporting on day 8 of TJJ!
Ok so firstly today we had gone to Tzfat for most of the day. After a non exaggerated number of about a billion stairs we had reached the beginning of our adventure in Tzfat. So our first destination was the very relaxed (being an understatement) Robert/Avraham’s shop where he told us about the Kabbalah. His many paintings were direct representations of the Kabbalah. I’ll admit he was a very interesting man however sometimes his “chill” vibe was absolutely hilarious. After that interesting visit with Avraham we went to the Ashkenazie shul. It was stunning, all white paint on the outside with blue accents to ward off evil and the inside was just as amazing. Later we had gone to the Sephardic shul and did a little shopping while we were there. After Tzfat a short bus ride led us to the Kever of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai. This was one of my high lights of the day. Going inside to pray just felt so amazing and enlightening. After a quick dance party outside of our bus we were off to Tiberias. Firstly we had a splendid dinner in a restaurant with pasta, pizza etc. on our walk to the boat ride some of us met bus 3 for about five seconds. When I saw the boat it looked so cool, kind of like an Israeli pirate ship of some sort. When we got in the boat it was basically a nonstop dance party from beginning to end with breaks to do cheers and have a drum circle. Saying it was pretty insane would be downgrading the experience. So far I would say that this was by far the best, craziest, most fun of all the days we have been on TJJ so far! Alright we are on our way to Jerusalem so we all gotta pack our stuff.
Signing off with love;
