Day 26! By Howie Dodick and Maya Cohen-Kleinstein

Today is Tsha B’av, a day in which we mourn over losses and tragic events. In order to feel a deeper connection, we started off the day by writing personal poems regarding hard moments in our life. Closer to mid-day, our bus made its way to one of Israel’s most historical museums, Yad Vashem. During our tour In Yad Vashem we learned many new things about the Holocaust. 6 million Jews lost their lives during Nazi ruling and until this day we are unable to uncover many names that are significant to completing the overall image of this tragic event. In each exhibit a new sorry revealed a deeper understanding of occurrences that the people had to go through in order to survive and/or the stories in which people perished. All In all a heavy day but with this in mind can look toward the future. To finish off this day we ended in gush Etzion and had a dairy supper.
