Day 10! By Akiva Meyerowitz

Today when we woke up we had a delicious breakfast. The breakfast that we had was eggs, yogurt, and so much more. For our activity today we went to the chocolate factory and were told at we will meet Willy Wonka. I was a little disappointed  to see no Willy and no Oompah Loopahs when we arrived. During our tour of the factory we learned how chocolate was discovered. Chocolate was originally given to the Spanish soldiers to make them strong, so when I eat chocolate, it’s because I also want to be strong (not really 😛 ). We were given tasters of the chocolate and it tasted so good, that it felt spiritual. After the chocolate factory we went to Pki’in. Pki’in was very interesting because that’s where one of Rabbi Akiva’s student went to study. A lot of people are certain that this cave we visited is where Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai actually learned. There are a few people who don’t believe this, but at the moment there is a difference of opinions as to where he is actually buried. After visiting the cave we went to a shul that was about 200 hundred years old. The shul was fascinating because it is very interesting how they are able to preserve it. Unfortunately the shul is no longer in use and is only for tours. This brings us to the end of the day where we can finally relax.

Have a good shabbos from Nofeh Gonen!!
