It’s been exactly a week since we left our families, loved ones, and friends for a trip of a lifetime. Since then we have accomplished so much. From climbing difficult mountains and deep rivers, to transforming into a close and well kept family, our bus has already created such a bond that will forever be cherished. Starting in the morning the bus took us on a journey of one of the most brutal mountain hikes anyone on our bus has ever experienced. Approximately 3 hours long with steep inclines, through the use of strong balancing skills, maturity and confidence and a lot of rocks, we all managed to pull through as a group and complete the impossible looking hike. One thing that I can learn from today is to never give up because although you may feel like something is physically impossible, in the end not looking down really helps (thank you to our encouraging staff, of course)! After a few too many ice creams, we traveled some more until we reached our next destination- in which we had plans to repel off a mountain cliff. It being my first time, all I can say is that I do not recommend it. Although I had a hard time today, it still managed to pass by so fast. The next three weeks are hopefully comparable to today!
