Hey all you TJJ’ers— my name’s Adam and I can’t wait to spend the summer with all of you! I’m from Baltimore, Maryland in the USA and am looking forward to an incredible and meaningful summer experience in Israel. As the only non-Canadian in your bus, and as the only person who cannot tell the difference between the Toronto Leafs and an actual maple leaf (like… from an… actual tree), I expect all of you to teach me the foreign and highly unusual ways of the Canadian, although I AM still convinced that the American “Star Spangled Banner” is far superior to “O Canada.” I’m currently going into my Junior (3rd) year of college at University of Maryland, working towards a degree in Child Psychology— if I seem to be reading your mind during the summer, don’t worry! I am.
I’ve spent two years of my life in Israel, one for my 10th grade year of high school and one post high school in a Jerusalem Yeshiva, and I can say without any hesitation that Israel is a beautiful and magnificent place and a place that any Jewish person can feel welcome and at home in— I can’t wait for you all to experience it (whether it’s your first time or your 20th!).
Can’t wait to meet you all!!
