Hi Everybody!

We finally got to spend a lot of time in the old city of Jerusalem!

We started the morning off with a tour of the city of David, where we watched an interesting movie about the city of David. After that we went on a walking cave tour, which was very fun but a little wet and dark. This was the water system now known as Chizkiyahu’s tunnel. As soon as we all dried off from the cave, we headed to the Kotel for Lee Goodman’s Bar Mitzvah!!!! It was a very special experience for all and we were grateful we got to partake in such a simcha( joyous occassion)! Then we got some time to roam around  the old city of Jerusalem. The food was really good, with lots of cool things to buy.

Over all we had an amazing day in the old city of Jersalem!

After we had our fill of shopping and food, we headed back to the bus and went back to the hotel for showering and preparation for the evening. We met downstairs at 6:40 and went to Gan Sacher Park located just a few blocks away from the hotel, where we thoroughly enjoyed a BBQ and lots of sport fun. From the park we went back into the old city and took a tour of the underground tunnels that have been found underneath the Kotel walls. Under the Kotel walls we were even closer to the temple mount. We got a good visual of what the first and second temple looked like. We saw a short movie about how difficult it was to build them. Then we got some more time to pray at the Kotel. Then it was finally time to call it a night after such a filled day!
