Shalom! Day 7 of TJJ was one of our most exciting and educational days yet! In the morning, we traveled to the kibbutz Misgav Am, right next to the Lebanon border and heard from Aryeh Ben Yakov, a tour guide and resident. The colorful war veteran had an interesting yet inspiring outlook on the Golan, Israel, and the countries surrounding it. We then hiked at the Banyas, a beautiful nature trail in the Golan, surrounded by stunning waterfalls. We then went water rafting. Although some people, specifically some advisors, fell in the water, it was a fun and entertaining experience. We winded down with Chaburot, educational learning with our advisors. We can’t wait for dinner and an exciting night activity. On an exciting note, our very own advisor, Marge Polowin, turned 23 today! We celebrated with a hospital gown and a jester hat. On a sadder note, advisor Elliot Gerson is very much missing his mommy, Susan Parker Gerson. We are all so excited for another awesome and enriching day tomorrow!
